  I'm likely going to have a lot of questions, especially since I'm new to wiki. Hopefully I'll be able to understand most of the help files, though, and won't have to bug you that often - I have the feeling it could be slightly annoying, lol.

Nah, I'm fine with answering questions. :) If Shifti's help files aren't complete enough, we're running a fairly standard MediaWiki wiki so the help files from meta wiki might also be good to look at.
