What about translation of copyrighted materials? Like Russian version of the 'Pet shop of horrors'? Fanfiction?
What about copyrighted materials which have author's permission? Can I put that materials on site, or the author themself have to create account and upload it?
- For manual translations I believe you are usually required to have the permission of the copyright owner before performing the translation under the Bern Convention (international copyright treaty)...
- Fanfic is fine — One of Bard's stories is a WH40k fanfic :)
- For copyrighted materials with the authors permissions... We have done this in the past for works by Phil Geusz.
