<poem> The Elms they cut, they saw and gnarl, The Birch they hew from Earth, The Pines they strip of Bark and Twig, All cry beneath the Hearth.
And into Sparks they cast themselves, The Tears of Loss and Sham, Until at last the Ash does set, And ends the Smoke and Flame.
The Smoke which birthed hath rose and flown, The Soul of Hate and Pain, The heathen Wisp does blight the Air, Revenge the Woods hath lain. </poem>
