User talk:Michael Bard/Who gets the Dreamers?
Ever since I read this story, I've had the powerful story image of a devil murdering the fae and stealing the poor soul for itself. Why? Cause Angels play by the rules, devils CHEAT. I know that isn't what you were aiming for here. But the idea will not go away. If you make something a free for all, be prepared for the thugs who will NOT play nice or observe 'rules of conduct'.
"You can just go sit on a _AGHGHHGH!"
"What was that? Oh well. Look at all the pretty red splashes everywhere, I thought it would be all pixie dust inside. Oh well. Lookie here, a soul with no one to guide it to it's proper rewards. Oh well. I guess no one will mind if I take it then."
This is one of those instances I think where the story grows beyond the author's control. IMHO at least.

Good ideas are like that. So, go and write your extension already! I.e. I give permission (though it's not really needed).
Anyway, this story is kinda odd. It started out as an idea that popped into my head about fey mounted on birds with a launch/mission facility. Never had anything to do with the image though, until the plot popped in about a year later...
