Welcome to being a Shifti Author, Cat's-Eye Gleam!

Just as an informational note, any logged-in user can edit pages in the main namespace. Jon Buck and the other administrators would stomp hard on any vandals, and it allows copyediting volunteers to make corrections directly instead of just pointing out mistakes, but most authors keep their stories on subpages of their user pages anyway (only administrators and that particular user can edit a user page or its subpages).

Also, categories! If you want your stories to be found, they need categorization. I've taken the liberty of creating a category for you under Category:Stories by author and adding it to The Busy Life Of Peridot Thursday (I could do that because it's in the main namespace), but you should consider adding some Category:Stories by TF subcategories as well. Normally, I'd also urge you to use the Title template instead of formatting the title the way you have, but I'm not sure that it can do everything you want it to. There are other useful templates, too: {{dropcap|S}} creates an extra-large serifed 'S' that hangs below the line, the Info template creates a right-floating infobox for story metadata (check the template's page for usage, becuase Info has a lot of options), and the series bar template allows you to name the series your story is part of and link to the first, previous, and next stories in it (you can leave any of those out if the story is the first or last in the series, or if the series doesn't have a name. In fact, you can leave all of them out, but that's not terribly useful).

Now that I've gotten that out of my system, I'll just say that I'm sure you'll get the hang of things right quick. There isn't really any site-wide culture here at Shifti, but that's better than having one that's toxic.
