Talk:Monkey Business
Cute story, a nice idea plus monkeys. Not enough monkey TFs around. :) Anyway, I hope you don't mind that I did a little bit of minor formatting work on the title. I've got your author category all set up now, hope to see more of your work in the future. Thanks! Bryan 00:30, 21 February 2008 (EST)
Naming convention?
Shouldn't this be renamed/relinked under the author:story naming convention? I'm new here, so not clear on this. —Robotech Master 02:13, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
- Some authors use the "sub-page" bit (the 'User:xxx/yyy' thing) because it makes the page all but untouchable. Others don't mind the page being editable, so they post it to the 'Main' namespace (ie: just the title). It's not a convention by any means - just a choice that a user can make. From an end-user perspective there is really no difference, but from the perspective of a contributing author it is the difference between "this is my work, I do not want anyone but myself changing the text of it" and "this is my work, but others can help me with the editing and/or tagging". And even there we do have a custom that you should not edit the actual text of a page without prior approval of the pages creator. -- ShadowWolf 02:27, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
