Template:Author page

This template automagically sets the 'author name' parameter and adds the page to the Author Category.

It takes one optional parameter, an override for the name of the author for cases where it doesn't match the username. For example:

{{author page|Bard, Michael}}

Otherwise it defaults to the current page's name.
