I got the idea for this driving home from Theatre Appreciation actually. We had watched a 1 minute play, which made me think of Drabbles, and inspiration struck. By the time I got back from school the entirety of "Heartbeat" had been planned in my mind, and of the five it's probably the best. After writing it and editing it some it occurred to me that I could write 4 more stories covering the five senses, Heartbeat being Hearing. "Apples" came almost instantly after I had the idea, but I didn't sit down and write any more of them for a week while I mulled over it on an off.

Taste and Touch where the hardest by far, and the reason I spent a week trying to figure out a better version then what I ended up going for, even considering not doing the entire series, but in the end I like the final story so much that I wrote all five, as it required the others to have full impact. - Doomreaver
