<poem> I can see a furious ocean Thrashing upon rock. In spite of their age, Their beaten state, The rocks remain unwavering; In the end, they know They will weather away Into dust, chip by chip, Grain by grain, Until all foundation is lost; And at last they fall, Drown in the sea.

Now years have passed, And the ocean is still stirring, Toiling upon itself. New rocks stand fast Where others were lost, But the old have left their bodies In the seas, Salt in the water, Dust in the breeze.

I am a rock, Chipping away, Into oblivion.

They know not what they do. </poem>
