:Note that many of these "joke" parties are not actually intended to be jokes by the people that are running them, they're just a little "out there" or focused on single issues not necessarily of interest to most people. Though some are - I truly miss the Rhinocerous Party, their platform included great ideas such as installing an ocean between Alberta and Saskatchewan (the only two provinces without direct access to a coast). NeoRhino looks promising. :) [[User:Bryan|Bryan]] 13:47, 30 May 2008 (EDT) | |||

Enjoying this so far! I like how the TG issues are handled. --Buck 23:57, 27 May 2008 (EDT)
Note on the FPC and Canadian politics
While in our reality there never has been a Furry Party of Canada, we do have our share of joke parties each election which tend to be made fun of each election they run in. (Or parties that are serious, but are seen as fringe/joke parties by everyone else)
Just in the last election in '06, we had groups like:
- [Animal Alliance Environment Voters Party of Canada]
- [Communist Party of Canada (Marxist-Leninist)] which is different from
- [Communist Party of Canada]
- [Marijuana Party of Canada ]
and historically we've had even more far out groups. (See Rhinoceros Party of Canada, Natural Law Party, and most recently NeoRhino.ca )
