TFOR may change people's appearance but for the most part their behaviour would stay the same. I can think of at least one instance appearing where a woman gives birth to a teefer child... but neither her nor her husband are teefers.

On Government

To me, the NAR doesn't seem sustainable. It simply isn't feasable to successfully govern an area that large or a population that massive. Canada's parliament IRL is incredibly slow, and the US's is riddled with people who's sole purpose for existence seems to be to give John Stewart material. It seems more logical, and more in line with Canada's beliefs in general, that once the U.S was pacified a transition would be made into letting it be its own country again.

On Politics

Even though the NAR is neither the US or Canada anymore, there are still lots of people who were around before the countires merged. I guess there would be people who still refer to their region as America/Canada and define themselves as such. I can easily picture someone going, "NAR be dammned! I was born Canadian/American and I'll die Canadian/American!"

On Relationships

TFOR may change people's appearance but for the most part their behaviour would stay the same. I can think of at least one instance appearing where a woman gives birth to a teefer child... but neither her nor her husband are teefers. Infidelity for the win XD

On the Variation of Species

We've all probably noticed how in the PAW (and, I guess by extension, TBP) universe equine/feline/canine/candid morphs tend to be common. The meta-explanation is an obvious one--cats/dogs/wolves/foxes/horses are common choices for a person's avatar or fursona and they are often the first species that come to mind when one is trying to think up a minor character. On a more technical level, one could make the argument that because there are so many different types of cats/dogs/ect. in the world the chance of TFOR blending a person with such a species would naturally be higher. For example, there are alot more species of cat than, say, sloths so one can expect more people to be cat-morphs than sloth-morphs.

On Resident Evil Comparisons

Blowtorch Fever/TFOR seem similar to the T-Virus from Resident Evil in my opinion. Both have a basic premise and certain rules but the actual nature and manifestation of the ailments (duration/speed/severity of various symptoms/ect.) can be altered to serve the needs of the plot. Though, obviously, the Torch does not create zombies.
