Don't know why this one gets hit so often, but from my experiences with the cleric wiki, once they get a page locked on that they can change, they rarely let up on it.
That's why I had to turn that particular talk page to protected, and since then I've seen 1 spam attack. (This was almost 6-7 months now). A similar step may be needed here.

Hello! Nice site ;) Bye - 21 January 2008 User:75.53.1.246

I feel like a fog, but such is life. I've basically been doing nothing worth mentioning. My life's been unremarkable today, but so it goes. Not much on my mind to speak of. Not that it matters.I am not only encouraged by that. - 15 April 2008 User:71.59.99.75

It seems to me like this page is the one most often targeted by spam. I wonder why that is? --Joysweeper 12:42, 8 May 2008 (EDT)
Rather unusual spam, too - no external links, at least none that come anywhere near working. Oh well, I'm not going to complain about the incompetence of spammers. :) Since we can't exactly lock down a user talk page, and the spam rate is rather low in the grand scheme of things, I guess we'll just keep on reverting it whenever it happens. I suppose if Sheep was okay with it we could semi-protect the page to prevent non-logged-in users from editing, but that could eliminate a lot of legitimate comments too.

--Jetfire 15:26, 12 May 2008 (EDT)

Well, since it's getting annoying reverting these, I've put a temporary semi-protection on this page. Only registered users can edit it now. I'll rig up some kind of informative template to stick at the top letting non-registered users know why they can't edit, in case any come along in that period who want to drop Sheep a line. Fortunately there doesn't seem to have been much traffic other than this weird vandalism so it's unlikely to interfere with much. Bryan 19:35, 12 May 2008 (EDT)
It's stopped them from hitting this page. But I just had to fix two bits of spam to other pages. ShadowWolf 09:17, 18 May 2008 (EDT)
