In this story, what is true and what is geographically and historically correct is unimportant. The world is the one of anthros that have lived uneasily along humans for many centuries, anthros that have often had a problem with their often meat-based diet.
There will be references to real events, such as the second world war, and the Vietnam conflict, which is the setting for the story, at least in the beginning. On the other hand, a lot of facts, names and events will be completely invented. I twist the facts to suit my story's needs, so I can only suggest that you go along with the flow.
The inspiration for this came after having read the story of Tina and Lucy, by a certain other genial contributor to this website, and a vietnam war movie marathon. Here goes.
