I’ve smoked five cigarettes

Two cloves

A cigar

And a bowl;

Drank until I could drink no more

But she won’t go away.

Nine tails of foxy love

Swishing

Touching my chin

Reminding me of how long its been

Since I shared a bed with another.

(Maybe the fox is one hell of a lover.)

She likes me.

Thinks I’m funny.

Suave.

Romantic.

Worth a shot.

She hugs me and I feel warmth

Under her auburn fur

And I can’t help thinking that she just

Maybe

Might

Be serious this time.

All I have to do

(simple as pie, she tells me)

is grow a fox tail.
