Second of all, the author of [http://www.instantkingdom.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1336&post=32074 'Catgirl'] mentions that its main characters are aware of rumors that artificial intelligences of some sort might exist on the planet below their feet.  [[User:RandomDSdevel|WhenCatsFoxesandWolvesFly]] also noted that this gossip runs parallel to the speculation of Earthers as to the reality of RIDEs' existence in [[FreeRIDErs (setting)|the ''FreeRIDErs'' universe]]. Work on that story had stalled by November 14<sup>th</sup>, 2014, and was interrupted by another story project that same day.  [[User:RandomDSdevel|WhenCatsFoxesandWolvesFly]] originally intended for this story, currently called [[User:RandomDSdevel/Sandbox/Works in Progress/Stories/Uprooted|''Uprooted'']] and which is about how a person living in the early- to mid-21<sup>th</sup> century might come to find himself put into some kind of medical stasis only to be woken up in the mid-26<sup>th</sup> century of [[FreeRIDErs (setting)|the ''FreeRIDErs'' universe]], to be unrelated to this story arc but eventually included it when he realized how interesting it might be to convey to his readers how this person might react when faced when [https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=289534415E45234A!195&authkey=!AGHU9jtalJwZRoo&ithint=file%2cdocx ''Displacement'']'s protagonist upon her arrival in [[FreeRIDErs (setting)|the ''FreeRIDErs'' universe]].  A measured revision to [[User:RandomDSdevel/Sandbox/Works in Progress/Stories/Uprooted|''Uprooted'']] was made on November 19<sup>th</sup>, 2014, and was followed up by a slightly more extensive rewrite five days later on November 24<sup>th</sup>.  Minor maintenance was done on [[User:RandomDSdevel/Sandbox/Works in Progress/Stories /Uprooted|''Uprooted'']] between November 29<sup>th</sup> and December 19<sup>th</sup> as well.
