The only known country to survive was Iceland, thanks to closing its boarders at the start of the plague, along with pockets of the other Scandinavian nations. After a long prologue in the present day, the story is about a small band going into what they call "The Silent Lands" to see what has happened. So far, there hasn't been much in the way of on-screen transformation, but the art is beautiful, the architecture and machinery are drawn with ~~meticulously~~ precision, while still retaining the cracks and ravages of time, and the possibility of transformation seems likely. But as Raine matures, her bestial side becomes increasingly restless from years of suppression.
