Bear and Techno honestly scare the living hell out of me. They have been here since the start. Bear's brother was a first responder during the September 11th attacks and he is one stone cold son of a bitch. Techno earned his name because one night when the squad was out celebrating at this techno joint some punks pulled out knifes and tried to stab Captain Monica. He single handily beat all four while just finishing four shots of tequila.

"Alright Echo has gone radio silent as you may already know and the brass felt it would be a good idea to send the most battle hardened unit to waste it's time on such menial work you guys might want to get settled in its going to be a two hour drive Bear don't bother with the gun." She said.

I knew I lost this battle so I closed my eyes and dozed off.

"What the fuck happened?!" I said.

I hoped on the gun and just started shooting everywhere I saw a flash of light. Then out of nowhere what seemed like mustard gas started blazing up everywhere and then everything went black.

The next thing I recall was being dragged by Captain Monica and seeing the Humvee on fire and a disfigured corpse lying inside then I blacked out again.

I awoke to the warmth of the desert sun beating on my face.
"Thank god I thought I lost you too." Captain Monica said.

"All I know is that once that gas was released that Bear shot Techno and I lost control and wreck I was only able to drag out you." she responded.

"When we wreck he jumped out like a mad man and ran straight into the desert." She answered.
"This whole war is bullshit these guys can go out and use outlawed weapons and kill anyone they capture while we have to follow these fucking laws and give them 5 star treatment when we capture them fucking bullshit." I said.

We started walking back to base and some guys from Charlie company just by and gave us a lift back. Apparently after base lost contact with us they sent a large search party to come and look for us and if it wasn't for Charlie company staying back a little longer we would probably be bird food now.

Once we got back to base I started feeling sick and this time it was not because of the MREs. "You look like shit Parker go get some rest I am going to update the General on the situation." said Captain Monica. Without hesitation I went to my cot and past out. I had the strangest dream that I was a lizard and was wandering in the desert when I awoke.

I was shaking uncontrollably and I was in the infirmary everything sounded muffed out. I was however able to make out one of the men in the hazmat suits mention that they were afraid of this and luckily the egg heads managed to make something and then I passed out.

When I finally awoke again Captain Monica was sitting next to me. Just as I opened my mouth I knew something was wrong. She quickly went to my side and said for me not to move. She left the room and what seemed like forever the General came in with some guy in a lab coat.
"How are you feeling son?" asked the General.
"What What happened one moment I was laying in my cot the next I woke up here?" I asked.
"Just relax Dr. Smith here will get you update on your situation I leave you two alone." he said

After Dr. Smith was finished talking I just sat there in pure shock. Apparently some Russian developed a weapon that could take a man and turn him into a wild animal. That weapon just so happened to get in the hands of some terrorist. Luckily for me the U.S. developed a way to prevent the loss of one's mind if used early enough unfortunately though they could not stop the transformation.

So I am a Lizard Freak? Fucking great.
