We are still hard at work on the [[Best of Shifti]] book, which will be published via Lulu - but we might work on a version for various e-book readers. Personally, I've never understood the whole "read it in the tub" thing. You can read an e-book in the tub better than you can a paper book. Just put it in a ziplock baggie, seal it tight, and there you are. You won't even need to worry about getting water spots on the pages.

But anyway: I've been following the whole e-pub thing with interest (given that I write for an e-book and e-publishing blog). There are some writers out there who have been reasonably successful at e-pub and self-pub (such as YA author [http://henrymelton.com Henry Melton]). Wil Wheaton has self-published all but one of his books, and they've done really well for him (though he does have the advantage of a name that people recognize, by dint of his blogging as much as his Trek role). There are print-on-demand companies like Lulu that will run off copies for you to sell yourself; there are even self-pub options that put you on Amazon.com. (My uncle has published a novel that way.) There are e-publishing companies like [http://www.smashwords.com Smashwords] that will give you 80% of the sales take.

But on the other hand, you have to be your own publicity, and that takes up time and effort you could better spend on more writing, and you'll never be as good at it as a large business.
