The gears are always turning,
The hands have naught to grasp;
By minutes they are learning,
But seconds cannot last.

The face begins to fade,
The hour begins to kneel,
By twelve, the last farewell is bade,
As death secures the deal.

All the wheels come to be,
Wheels within wheels.

A great hero begins the line,
And stewards come to follow;
Generations arrive and march in time,
The separations must be hollow.

The lines begin to dwindle,
The sounds will not be heard;
The thread be cut from spindle,
The rest becomes obscured.

All the words come to be,
words within words.

A rush comes before the blow,
A whisper out of breath;
Trees and logs impart the flow,
The heat has nearly left.

The tranquil voice begins to pass,
No cool to block the sin;
The breath tries in vain to keep its mass,
As sweat voice begins to dim.

All the winds come to be,
Winds within winds.

A bright hope lights its half,
The blue unveils its mask;
To green the white will surely laugh,
In blackness they will bask.

The peak begins to turn toward west,
The shade begins to drink;
All in all begins to rest,
As colors begin to sink.

All the worlds come to be,
Worlds within worlds,

And as the worlds begin again,
The wheels of life unfold.
