Author's note: After the fact, I realized that school up here doesn't normally start until the Tuesday after Labour day, so the time this story is set, Richard would not have been back.

Handwaving time. Hartland is on the edge of the Potato region in NB. Just to the north, that school district actually goes back in mid-August, and takes a 2 week break in September for the potato harvest. So in this case, Hartland happens to also do the potato break, hence why Richard was back early. (As for the tournament, it also wouldn't happen normally that early in the school year, but that's no big deal. :) ) User:Jetfire 13:00, 31 January 2007 (AST)
